Upcoming Changes for Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Please find details of some changes that are coming for Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Effective 1 October 2012 the following functionality will no longer be available for purchase on Microsoft Dynamics NAV licensed via Order Central. Further details on alternative functionality is available here.  A summary of the discontinued functionality is detailed below along with existing customer impacts.

Discontinuations for all Microsoft Dynamics NAV versions

• 2450 Employee Portal
• 11210 Banking (from Swedish country code)
• 5001910 Electronic Payments (from German country code)
• 5001920 Foreign Payment Systems (from German country code)
• 5000010 Cost Accounting Packet (from German country code)
• 5000020 Basic Cost Accounting (from German country code)
• 5000030 Cost Accounting Allocation (from German country code)
• 5000040 Cost Accounting Budget (from German country code)
• 5000050 Project Accounting Packet (Basic, Allocation, Budget) (from German country code)
• 5000060 Basic Project Accounting (from German country code)
• 5000070 Project Accounting Allocation (from German country code)
• 5000080 Project Accounting Plan (from German country code)
• 5000095 Cost Accounting Analysis (from German country code)

Microsoft Dynamics NAV Customers who previously licensed any of the above granules via the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Price List will no longer be charged Business Ready Enhancement Plan (BREP) fees on these granules. On October 1, 2012 the Protected List Price (PLP) for these granules will be reduced to zero resulting in no annual enhancement fees beginning on the next plan renewal date. The license keys for these granules will remain on existing customers’ accounts, allowing the continued use of the granules. However, existing customers will no longer be able to order these granules from Microsoft.

Existing Customers upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 will no longer be able to use these granules. We encourage existing customers to contact their partner to discuss migration to alternative solutions listed on Dynamics Marketplace.

Discontinuations impacting solely Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013

The following functionality will not be available on Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013.

• Application Objects - Dataport Objects and Form Objects
• 1750 C/OCX
• 1800 C/FRONT
• C/FRONT .NET
• 1415 Application Server
• 7010 Business Notification
• 7011 Business Notification Worksheet

Microsoft Dynamics NAV Customers who have licensed any of the above granules via the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Price List will be able to continue to use their existing granules and to order additional granules on all supported versions prior to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013. However, existing customers will not be able to use these granules on Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013. We encourage existing customers to contact their partner to discuss being migrated to alternative solutions listed on Dynamics Marketplace or make use of functionality introduced in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013.

This announcement provides Partners with the 120-days’ notice required pursuant to the Solution Provider Agreement (SPA).
